How We Work

The initial “meeting” is typically handled via email. We will start by emailing you a list of questions (or click here) then correspond with you via email to gather the information needed to create your estate plan. If you prefer an in-person meeting or a phone call, we are happy to accommodate you to best meet your individual needs and preferences. After gathering the materials needed to create your estate plan, and before we begin preparation of the necessary documents, we will email you a proposal summarizing the types of documents we will draft, what you wish to include in the documents, and a set fee for the proposed work.

If you wish to proceed after receiving the proposal, you will simply confirm in writing that you wish for us to proceed with drafting the documents. Half of the payment for the documents is due upon acceptance of the proposal and the second half is due once the documents are complete. Please note that we do not accept credit cards.

Any changes that are requested after the documents are approved for drafting will be subject to an additional fee. Our turn-around time is typically four to six weeks to complete documents once you accept our proposal. Sometimes the time-frame is shorter and we can handle emergency situations faster in most circumstances.

Once the documents are ready to sign, we will contact you to set up a time to review and sign the documents in person.
